Ingenious Technology is ready for Google Chrome 80—even without cookies

Does having fewer cookies mean there are no more cookies?

How strict is this 2020 diet?

As reported by AdExchanger, “... Google is introducing a new policy in the next version of Chrome that will severely restrict the sharing of cookies across multiple websites, and most advertisers don’t seem to be aware of this yet.”

This means that even though the trend toward data protection—and thus toward restricting cookie tracking—may be persistent, a completely cookie-free environment is not yet here.

Chrome still allows cookies to be tracked, but with certain conditions. Only cookies that use HTTPS (websites use the HTTPS protocol for data sent back and forth using SSL encryption) are accepted—cookies that use HTTP (a protocol that transmits and receives data in an unsecured manner) are not accepted.

This change could have a direct impact on your data tracking activities. That is, if your company is not prepared for the upcoming changes or does not have the technology to protect its data.
